Liam Brennan sweeps K of C 2008 state basketball free throw title
On April 26 in Sayreville, St. Elizabeth’s student and parishioner Liam Brennan won the state championship in the 10-year-old boys division of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw competition, defeating the other diocesan champions from New Jersey.  Congratulations to Liam on this impressive accomplishment.
On the occasion of Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the USA

Our chaplain Msgr. Guenther, brother Knight Fr. Po, and Tony deNicola were in attendance to listen to the Holy Father address the United Nations on April 18th.  Prior to the address, they spent a few minutes speaking with His Eminence, Theodore Cardinal McCarrick and with Supreme Knight Carl Anderson.  The fourth picture is a close-up of Pope Benedict XVI taken at the Mass at Yankee Stadium on Sunday April 20th.

4th Degree
Any Third Degree member in good standing, one year after the anniversary of his First Degree, is eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups (called "assemblies"). Certain members of the Fourth Degree serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an activity that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus.
